In this role, you will ensure that trials are conducted to the highest quality, with continual improvement and implementation of best practices. Compliance is a large focus of the role, as well as educating and mentoring the clinical team. We have 9 site locations, meaning you can be based anywhere in New Zealand, although the preference would be for you to be based at one of the sites we would also consider someone working remotely with the right set up. 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, implement and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS)  
  • Ensure trial participants and data are safeguarded 
  • Train and mentor clinical staff to implement, review and maintain tracking of incidents within the trials
  • Advise on corrective and preventative actions (CAPA’s) to be implemented, ensuring these are carried out promptly
  • Review and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements and advise on improvement strategies
  • Lead preparation for audit/inspections from external parties 
  • Develop and execute an internal risk-based QC/audit plan for systems and trials that includes the review of core trial documents to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements 


Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience within the healthcare sector in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of GCP and clinical research
  • Networking and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to develop QC/audit plans and support audits
  • Excellent computer skills
  • A clean full driver’s licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • The ability to travel around New Zealand and overseas if required on occasion
